Manhunt.com was the first one to come along, so yes, it is still widely used for virtual gays meeting each other. However, for my specific demographic -- gay male in my twenties -- unless I'm looking for sex, Adam-4-Adam is the most legitimate "dating" site. Now, some people would argue that gay dating is a softer word for hanging-out until you have sex -- at least on average. This debate aside, people looking for just sex -- like in 5 minutes or with some person who only shows a photo of their penis -- use Manhunt. Gays looking for just sex can use A-4-A, but it's much more widely used and respected for dating.
